Minit-Chargers Battery Interface and Charge Control (BICC) module performs two important
and significantly different functions:
- Assess battery status and control charger output rates
- Record and store charger and battery performance and truck energy consumption.
Mounted atop the battery, BICCs primary function is to perform as the battery to charger interface for Minit-Charger's patented charge control technology. The BICC module is mounted on top of the battery and accurately senses multiple groups of cells to gain a complete assessment of battery behavior. This patented and proven technology assures that the battery controls charger output according to the Battery Charge Acceptance Ability.
BICCs secondary function called Minit-Trak - is to record and store 20 key data items for each charge connect period. This stored data (indicated below) provides a detailed snapshot of each charge / discharge cycle complete with time/date stamp. The data stays resident for approximately 2 years and is available for laptop download. Evaluation of the Minit-Trak data table download can be subsequently imported to your favorite spreadsheet for further charge system, truck and fleet management evaluation.
BICC features include:
- On board battery charge controller; communicates with charger
- Senses multiple groups of cells
- Real time adjusts to changes in battery condition to optimize charge
- Checks battery health prior to charging
- Provides Battery Low Water Level alert
- Memory stores battery charge history and events
- Laptop download for Minit-Trak fleet performance analysis data
The BICCs capability provides significant advantages over competitor battery modules (when and
if they are even offered). Competitor devices typically provide only a data recording function and at
level inferior to Minit-Chargers BICC.

systems and why this is important.
