Typical Minit-Charger Installation

Fast Charging Basics - A 15-Minute Guide

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5

Minit-Charger comes in a variety of configurations including single truck dedicated chargers as well as multiple station chargers capable of connecting several lift trucks to one charger. Most operations are best supported with multi-station chargers to strike a balance between circuit costs, connected electrical load, peak power demand levels and maximized charge return to keep the fleet running.

Typical installation components

Minit-Charger uses a comprehensive application approach to ensure an incoming/outgoing energy balance for the fleet. This approach takes into account variations within a fleet as well as seasonal duty cycle variations on facility workload. The outcome is an accurate determination of the number of chargers and charge stations required for the anticipated number of lift trucks.Modified battery

Battery Modifications
Batteries are modified for fast charge use by the manufacturer by the simple addition of dual cabling and connectors and stacked intercell connectors. Single point watering systems are added to facilitate once a week in-truck watering. Batteries are available from all major manufacturers and come with fast charge warranties.

Battery Module
The Minit-Charger battery module sits atop the battery to assess battery health, control the charging process and provide detailed charging and discharge history. Minit-Charger system performance and fleet operations data are available through download from each truck in the fleet.

Modified truck with additional connectors and bracketsTruck Modifications
Trucks typically require the addition of single or dual connector latches and brackets or, when new, come modified from the truck manufacturer.
